You have all the necessary codecs installed on a computer, video files might still refuse to play because of audio/video corruption of the file. A broken or corrupt .AVI file usually refuses to play on any media player and if it plays does not allow seeking because of a missing/corrupted index header.
Luckily, I have an simple to use utility to fix these common avi file issues. It's detect and repair frames so media-players and video converters are able to use the corrupted file with full seeking ability.
