MTN Apps Challenge was launched to give young apps developers a chance to develop apps that will provide the ‘seed’ apps for MTN App Store with specific focus on local content. The objective is to encourage local developers to provide unique, relevant and user-friendly apps to meet local needs and equally attract local users.
Participants can enter the contest as individuals or teams (six people max).An individual or team is allowed to submit not more than two different apps. It is recommended that one of the apps must be able to run on the Android platform.

Each participant is required to register a user account, print the Terms and Conditions document, sign and upload to complete registration.Registration should be done on the Apps Challenge Portal.
- Participants shall receive confirmation of registration via email and phone call.
- The following are required for submission:
- The application – executable code (apk)
- A video demonstration of the application
