Woah!!! I never knew that someone in Europe could pay money into my MTN Mobile Money Account right in Ghana with the help of Belgacom International Carrier Services (BIC). Oh  yes technology is making life every easy to live. Gone are the days you will have to wait for hours in queue at banks before you can get money.The service enables Family and Friends living abroad to send money instantly to the MTN Mobile Money wallets of family and friends in Ghana. 

You can receive money when you are outside Ghana provided you are on the roaming service. Even if your phone is lost or misplaced, Your money is safe. Your Mobile Money wallet is protected by your Mobile Money PIN . A beneficiary  need  a valid photo ID card (e.g. passport, voter’s Id) to claim the money.
The service is available in the following countries.

  Cyprus, 
  Denmark, 
  Finland, 
  France, 
  Germany, 
  Greece,

    • In the UK, you can send up to £500 to most countries using debit/credit card, or up to £2,000 if you pay from your bank account. PingIt allows payments up to £750 from your mobile.
    • In Canada, you can send up to $500 with a debit/credit card, or up to $950 if you use Interac Online. The maximum you can send in a day (i.e. within 24 hours) is $950.
    • In Australia you can send up to $500 with a debit/credit card, or up to $1,000 if you use POLi.
    • In New Zealand you can send up to NZD 2,000 using your debit/credit card.
    • In Switzerland, you can send up to CHF 500 with a debit/credit card.
    • In Netherlands you can send up to EUR 500 with a debit/credit card and up to EUR 2,000 using iDEAL.
    • In Germany, Belgium and Austria you can send up to EUR 500 using your debit/credit card or up to EUR 2,000 using sofort (direct banking).
    • In Norway, Sweden and Denmark you can send up to Kr 10.000 using your debit/credit card. Other payment  methods will be added soon.
    • In other Europe countries you can send up to EUR 500 with your debit/credit card
