How to Apply for Business support Fund

The COVID-19 Pandemic has caught up with nations of the world resulting in the introduction of diverse fiscal and economic policies by various countries. Government of Ghana has launched a GHS600 Million Coronavirus Alleviation Programme (CAP) Business Support Scheme for Micro, Small and Medium Enterprises (MSMEs). The Management and disbursement of the Fund will be led by the National Board for Small Scale Industries (NBSSI) in collaboration with the Ministry of Finance and selected participating financial institutions in the country.

The National Board for Small Scale Industries, (NBSSI), Ghana shall commence the application process for Micro, Small and Medium Enterprises (MSMEs) to access financial and technical support. Due to the expected high volume of applications, this registration process will enable NBSSI ensure a seamless application process. 

               Minimum Eligibility Requirements

>>>Micro, Small and Medium Enterprises (self- employed, limited liability, sole proprietorship, partnership, joint ventures)
>>>Must be located in Ghana
>>>Enterprises running for at least six months as at March 2020
>>>Registered businesses/enterprises – RGD/District Assembly (Micro/Informal)
>>>Tax Identification Number (TIN)
>>>Businesses/Enterprises that have been adversely impacted by COVID-19 and can show evidence of impact.
>>>Businesses/Enterprises that are producing goods or services that support the fight against COVID-19
>>>Member of an association, a trade group or registered with NBSSI
Businesses with between 1 – 99 employees

                 Minimum Requirements

>>>Tax Identification Number (TIN) for all MSMEs
>>>ID Cards – Passport, Voter ID, and Driver’s License
>>>Passport Picture – Electronic/Hard Copy
>>>Annual Sales Information

There are two phase of the application process.

This is the first phase of the application process.

==> Visit nbssi to register
==> Click on APPLY Now
==> Enter necessary information in spaces provided
==> Click on continue 
==> Enter necessary information in spaces provided in the personal details
==> Fill-in all the  necessary information in spaces provided in business details
==> Click on submit 
If your registration is successful, a code will be sent to you via email or text (SMS) message. You will need the unique code to start the second phase of the application process.

==>  Dial *718*555# on your phone 
==> Choose option 2 
==> Enter TIN 
==> ID Cards – Passport, Voter ID, and Driver’s License
==> Passport Picture – Electronic/Hard Copy
==> Annual Sales Information
==> Click on Submit

                  How to Retrieve Unique Reference Code

==> Dial *718*555# on your phone
==> Select Option 2 (Check the Reference Code) to retrieve your Unique Reference Code.
==>Your TIN will be requested for confirmation. Enter the TIN you used for the registration.
