The card can be used to transact business outside Ghana at point-of-sale terminals and ATMs worldwide.It also offers a global reach as it is accepted everywhere the VISA acceptance mark is displayed.Cardholders can obtain their statements online, receive secured SMS alerts for every transaction made and benefit from discounts from hotels, spas, sightseeing tours and airport hospitality lounges around the world.
For those going to Brazil for the 2014 World Cup this would be a good opportunity to own a GlobalTravelWallet card.
The GlobalTravelWallet card is accepted by tens of millions of merchants and over two million ATMs around the world. It is instant, reloadable, convenient and secure,' Mr. Asiedu added.
The GlobalTravelWallet card is not linked to any bank account.
The traveller needs to visit a participating forex bureau, request to purchase forex (FX) up to an amount of US$10,000, present a valid identification - in this case an international passport - and the card would be issued instantly.
